This NEA Big Read program brings the Iowa City community together to read Toni Morrison’s Beloved.
It is in conjunction with the Stanley Museum of Art’s exhibition on the Black Midwest, which is titled it’s a fine thing (https://stanleymuseum.uiowa.edu/its-fine-thing) and is supported by the Terra Foundation for American Art. The show is guest-curated by artist Katherine Simóne Reynolds (https://theunsuspended.com/).
